United StatesReceived my product today for my macbook pro 2020 model. Really fast shipping which I appreciated. But It just doesn't fit perfectly. I have a dbrand skin on my other laptop (a Dell - something less mainstream) and the fit on that is perfect. I wanted to try fishskyn since I saw ads for it online, and I have to say, the precision and quality from dbrand is much better. I think for your money, fishskyn is great, but it is a little smaller than my mac so does not provide full coverage. A very small amount (about 1 mm) of the border of the front is not covered; I am afraid dust etc. will get stuck there and defeat the purpose.
As shown in our tutorial video on our website, the spacing around the edge of the skin is necessary for a few reasons. First, is to make the install easier. If it went right to the edge if you were off on the install by even a fraction of a mm it would peel and lift. We also leave a thin border to keep it from feeling like a “sharp” edge. We have tested the fit hundreds of times and without fail have found this to be the best solution.
